The outside of the lunchboxes present questions to the parent and child. The lunchboxes can be opened to reveal their insides, which state the answers and a visual graphic to accompany the text.
Q: How is my school helping my classmates get food?
A: About one third of SPS students received free & reduced lunch for the 2021-22 school year. That’s about 18,100 students.
Q: How can kids get food on the weekends?
A: The Ballard Food Bank’s Weekend Food for Kids Program provides students with 3 dinners, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts, plus extra snacks for their days off school.
